Politique d’expédition

The short version

Anywhere in the European Union: €4.95, and free from €45. The Netherlands is 1–2 working days after dispatch and the rest of the EU longer. Outside the EU delivery costs more and takes longer, and the exact price is shown before you pay. We hold no stock, so an order spanning two suppliers arrives in two parcels — charged once. Outside the EU you will be charged import taxes at your door.

Where we ship

We deliver to the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and the rest of the European Union; to the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway; to the United States and Canada; to the Gulf states; and to eight markets in Asia.

Inside the European Union delivery is €4.95 wherever you are, and free from €45. Outside the EU both the cost and the threshold depend on the country. Either way, what applies to you is shown in your basket and at checkout, before you pay.

Where Delivery Free over
Netherlands €4.95 €45
Belgium, Germany €4.95 €45
Rest of the EU, including France €4.95 €45
United Kingdom €9.95 €95
Switzerland, Norway €12.95 €120
United States, Canada €14.95 €140
Gulf states €19.95 €175
Asia €24.95 €225

The free-delivery threshold is measured on what you actually pay, after any discount.

Dispatch and delivery times

Orders placed before 15:00 CET on a working day go to the supplier the same day. Dispatch normally follows within one to two working days. We do not dispatch at weekends or on Dutch public holidays, and we would rather say so than quietly count those days as working days.

After dispatch, typical delivery times are: Netherlands 1–2 working days; Belgium and Germany 2–4; rest of the EU 3–7; United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway 4–10; United States and Canada 7–14; Gulf and Asia 10–21. Times outside the EU include customs clearance, which is the part nobody can predict.

These are what the carriers tell us to expect. They are estimates, not guarantees. If we have not agreed a delivery time with you, we will deliver within 30 days at the latest.

Orders outside the European Union — import taxes and duty

Read this before you order if you are outside the EU. It applies to the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, the United States, Canada, the Gulf states and all our Asian markets.

What you pay us covers the goods and the delivery. It does not cover import charges. When your parcel reaches your country you will normally be asked to pay:

  • Import VAT or your country's equivalent sales tax, charged on the value of the goods plus the delivery;
  • Customs duty, depending on your country and the value of the order;
  • A handling or clearance fee charged by the courier, which is often a flat amount and can be significant on a small order.

These are payable by you, to your carrier or your customs authority, on or before delivery. We cannot calculate them in advance and we cannot pay them for you — you are the importer of your own parcel. On a small order they can add a third or more to what you paid us. We would rather tell you that now than have you meet it at the door.

If a parcel is refused or abandoned at customs it is normally returned or destroyed by the carrier, and the outbound and return costs are not recoverable. Please do not order from outside the EU unless you are willing to pay the import charges.

Inside the EU there are none of these charges. The price you see is the price you pay.

Why your order may arrive in more than one parcel

We hold no stock. Each product is packed and posted by the supplier who holds it, so a basket spanning two suppliers becomes two parcels — often arriving on different days.

  • Checkout tells you when this is going to happen.
  • You are charged once. Two parcels never cost more than one.
  • Each parcel carries its own tracking and its own return note, and the return addresses may differ.
  • Inside the EU, if the second parcel has not arrived within three working days of the first, tell us. We chase the supplier; that should not be your job.

This is a real drawback of working the way we do, and it is the honest price of not sitting on stock we might later stop rating.

Where your order is dispatched from another country, we say so on the product page. Your rights are exactly the same either way — you are buying from us, in the Netherlands, under Dutch and EU consumer law.

If your parcel is late, or does not arrive

Email us rather than waiting. We would rather chase a carrier early than have you sitting at home wondering.

Beyond that, you have rights and we would rather you knew them:

  • A parcel lost in transit is our problem, not yours. Until the goods are physically in your hands, or in the hands of someone you nominated, the risk is ours. If it does not arrive, we replace it or refund you.
  • If we are late, you may give us a reasonable additional period to deliver. If that passes without delivery, you may cancel the contract and we refund you in full, without delay.
  • If delivery by a particular date was essential and you told us so, or it was obvious from the circumstances, you may cancel immediately rather than giving us extra time.

None of this requires you to prove anything or to fill in a form. An email is enough.
